The Ghana Offinsoman Association of Toronto
The Ghana Offinsoman Association of Toronto Inc. (GOFA) is an
incorporated non-profit socio-cultural organization whose primary goal
is to develop and promote the economic well being of its membership
through cultural education, counseling and networking programs.
Additionally, it is committed to contribute meaningfully to the
prosperity and development of Offinsoman (the people of Offinso,
Ghana).
As a legitimate and dependable organization, GOFA liaises on behalf
of institutions in Offinso, Ghana with philanthropic organizations
and/or private donors in Canada to discover ways to assist the
citizens of Offinso and its surrounding areas.
The
association was incorporated in the province of Ontario, Canada on January 29, 2000. It is currently a member
of the Peel Multicultural Council (PMC).
Below is a short-list of our programs and activities:
- Membership assistance and support in the form of benefits
- Promoting Ghanaian culture while contributing to Canada’s
multiculturalism
- Youth integration and mentorship activities
- Peer support to sister non-profit organizations
- Group investment (pooling resources together for a common
investment goal)
